FIFA president Gianni Infantino lambasted Italian football authorities for “hiding the truth” about racism in a scathing assessment on Tuesday following a complete lack of punishment after three cases of discriminatory chants during the four opening rounds of Serie A.
Three black players — Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku, AC Milan’s Franck Kessie, and Fiorentina’s Dalbert Henrique — have been targeted by racist chants but no sanctions have been handed out by the Italian league, federation or police.

The U.S. men’s soccer team will play its Nov. 15 home Nations League match against Canada in Orlando, Florida.
The Americans open the new competition against Cuba on Oct. 11 at Washington, D.C., then meet Canada four days later in Toronto. The U.S. group stage finale will be against Cuba on Nov. 19, a game to be played in George Town, Cayman Islands.
The group winner advances to the semifinals in June.

Former Newcastle United Under-23s coach Peter Beardsley has been suspended for 32 weeks by the Football Association (FA) after he was found guilty on three counts of offensive language towards the club’s U23 players, the FA said on Thursday.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino has described Iran’s stadium ban for women as “unacceptable,” calling on the country to lift restrictions ahead of their next home game.
