Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno, sources have told ESPN FC.
The 26-year-old is expected to sign a five-year deal and the move could be finalised later this week, sources said. German newspaper Bild reported the transfer fee was in the region of €25 million.
New Arsenal boss Unai Emery has identified Leno as the club’s long-term replacement for Petr Cech.

Bayer Leverkusen keeper Bernd Leno has stopped negotiations with Napoli, his agent has told Bild, amid links with Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.

Bayer Leverkusen completed the signing of Brazilian forward Paulinho from Vasco da Gama for next season in what the Bundesliga club called “a real coup.”
The 17-year-old Paulinho signed a contract through June 2023, effective from his next birthday on July 15.
A transfer fee was not disclosed, but kicker magazine in Germany reported Leverkusen took advantage of financial problems at Vasco da Gama by having its offer of just under €20 million accepted — €10m less than his release clause.
