Police in Colombia are investigating the death of women’s U20 player Leidy Asprilla.
The body of Colombian U20 and U17 player Leidy Asprilla was recovered on Wednesday on a highway in the southwest of Colombia, police have confirmed. 
Asprilla, 22, had been missing since Sunday. Police said they found the body in heavy forest at dawn on a highway that runs from El Cerrito to Rozo, in Valle del Cauca, near Cali.

Bayern Munich’s Colombia international, James Rodriguez, has become a Spanish citizen.
The 27-year-old winger joined Bayern on a two-year loan deal in the summer of 2017 from Real Madrid.
The news of his new dual-citizen status was reported by El Confidencial and Spanish news agency EFE. 
James is tied to Real Madrid until June 2021, however, Bayern have a unilateral option to purchase his rights for a reported €42 million.

Colombia captain Radamel Falcao has tweeted a statement on behalf the men’s national team, expressing support to their female counterparts after allegations of sexual discrimination at senior level.

World Cup-winning coach Luiz Felipe Scolari said he’s been declining requests to be the new Colombia coach, while the Colombian Football Federation maintained it has not been offering him the job.
