ESPN FC’s Julien Laurens reveals the latest on Barcelona’s efforts to land Ajax youngster Frenkie de Jong.
Barcelona have signed Frenkie de Jong from Ajax in a deal worth an initial €75 million, plus a further €11m in variables.
The midfielder will join the squad at the end of the season and has signed a five-year contract.
De Jong had been a target for a number of top clubs across Europe such as Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
