Thailand conceded late against Philippines, but remain top of Group B with superior goal difference.
Thailand goalkeeper Chatchai Budprom has warned Malaysia that they are in for a “nightmare” in the second leg of the 2018 AFF Cup semifinal in Bangkok on Wednesday.
Saturday’s first leg ended 0-0 in Kuala Lumpur, though Malaysia were very much in the ascendancy, creating and missing chance after chance against the sluggish defending champions.
While Malaysia arrive in Thailand in confident mood — though unhappy about the initial training facilities provided — the Thai No. 1 asserted that the second…

The Philippines prevailed 1-0 over Singapore in Group B courtesy of a late winner by Patrick Reichelt.
Singapore were eliminated at the group stage of the 2018 AFF Suzuki Cup on Sunday, but while many saw their performances as a step forward former coach Bernd Stange has told ESPN FC that the country has to make big changes if it is to progress.
The German spent three years in charge of the national team from 2013 but was not happy with what he saw from them in Southeast Asia’s biennial competition, especially in the 3-0 loss to Thailand on Sunday that sealed a first-round exit.

The only problem was that as the draw was held about three weeks earlier than usual — because the AFC has the 2019 Asian Cup starting in early January — the East Asian…
