Former Brazil and Real Madrid great Ronaldo Nazario is currently in hospital in Ibiza recovering from pneumonia, sources have confirmed to ESPN FC.
Local newspaper Diario de Ibiza said the two-time Ballon d’Or holder and 2002 World Cup Golden Boot winner is in the intensive care unit at the private Policlinica Nuestra Senora del Rosario hospital on the Spanish island, after being taken to a public hospital on the island on Friday evening. SAO PAULO — Brazilian team Corinthians has decided against signing a 19-year-old striker accused of assaulting a former girlfriend after supporters complained.
The Sao Paulo-based club said in a statement that Sport Recife’s Juninho would not be arriving “because of numerous protests by female and male fans.”
Juninho was in Sao Paulo to conclude the deal when the club issued the statement. He is accused of assaulting and threatening a former girlfriend last year, but denies the claims.

SAO PAULO — Brazilian club Corinthians donated $3,000 to hotel staffers in Venezuela before their Copa Libertadores match because of the economic crisis in the country.
It was the second instance this week by a club from Brazil.
