Much like rest of the world, Herculez Gomez and Sebastian Salazar are split over Juan Carlos Osorio’s future with Mexico.

It has been a long summer for El Tri and one that ultimately ended in disappointment, with a fourth-place finish at the Confederations Cup in Russia followed by a semifinal defeat to Jamaica at the Gold Cup last Sunday.

FIFA banned Osorio last week for protesting a controversial referee decision in the third-place game of the Confederations Cup, leaving the coach to watch the ongoing CONCACAF Gold Cup from a stadium suite.
But Mexico, which will play the complete six games at the Gold Cup if it reaches the final, will not push back against the punishment.
