Ivica Olic is calling time on his career, after announcing he is retiring from professional football.
Olic, 37, started out at Marsonia in his home country of Croatia, before moving to CSKA Moscow and then playing for Hamburg, Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg and finally 1860 Munich in the Bundesliga. He also made 104 appearances for the Croatian national team, scoring 20 goals.
“I’m ready to hang up my boots,” Olic told German newspaper Bild. “I think I can leave football with a clear conscience.
