Melbourne City have signed Uruguayan attacking midfielder Javier Cabrera for the looming A-League season.
The 27-year-old has more than 200 matches of experience in leagues in Spain, Uruguay, Mexico and Argentina.
Cabrera, who most recently played for Montevideo Wanderers, has been earmarked for a central midfield role by City, the club’s football director Michael Petrillo said in a statement on Tuesday.
