Portugal’s Jose Morais will take over as head coach at Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors after long-serving incumbent Choi Kang-hee departs at the end of the season, the K-League champions said.
Morais, who has worked under Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho during spells at Benfica, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Chelsea, will become the club’s first foreign coach.

Jeonbuk Motors lost their appeal before the CAS to defend their ACL title.
LAUSANNE, Switzerland — The Court of Arbitration for Sport has blocked Asian Champions League winner Jeonbuk Motors from defending their title because of a bribery scandal.
CAS says it dismissed the South Korean club’s request for an interim order to freeze the ban imposed by the Asian Football Confederation.
The order was issued on Friday, four days before playoff matches involving another Korean club who replaced Jeonbuk Motors.
