MANCHESTER, England — Manchester United needed penalties to scrape past Rochdale in the Carabao Cup after a dismal 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. Substitute Daniel James scored the winning spot kick after Sergio Romero had saved from Jimmy Keohane.
