Julian Green breaks down his first United States goal in nearly two years and the USMNT’s overall performance in their draw with France.

Julian Green describes what it’s like playing under the likes of Jurgen Klinsmann, Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti and what each brought to the advancement of his career. United States international Julian Green has joined second-tier German side Greuther Furth, for whom he played on loan last season, from Stuttgart on a two-year deal.
Earlier this month, Stuttgart revealed that they hoped an agreement could be reached for a permanent transfer, which was announced on Sunday.
Green, 23, had said he was uncertain of what his future held after his one-year loan with the Shamrocks ended.
But the forward, who returned to the U.S. national team after an 18-month absence…

Kylian Mbappe scored a late equalizer for France to offset a goal from Julian Green and deny an inexperienced USMNT side a win in Lyon.

Taylor Twellman explains why the experience mattered more than the result for the United States in their draw at France.

ESPN FC’s Taylor Twellman sits down with USMNT general manager Earnie Stewart to discuss his new role, including the appointment of a head coach.

Against a team tipped for a World Cup title in 2018, a young United States men’s national team held its own defensively and capitalized on a mistake by France to squeeze out an encouraging 1-1 draw at Groupama Stadium in Lyon.

Positives

With another young lineup put out by caretaker coach Dave Sarachan, the Americans stayed organized and focused for most of the 90 minutes.
The French were largely limited to long shots for much of the match, with the trio of center-backs in the 5-3-2 formation…

Stuttgart are hopeful they can reach an agreement with German second-tier club Greuther Furth over the future of United States international Julian Green.
The forward, who turns 23 on Wednesday, said last month he was uncertain of his future after his one-year loan with the Shamrocks ended, but Stuttgart sporting executive Michael Reschke said Green could stay with Greuther Furth.
“I’d like to think that we can find a very good solution for all involved,” Reschke said. “And that Julian will stay…

Former U.S. international Brian McBride backs Christian Pulisic’s comments about a lack of focus being to blame for the USMNT missing the World Cup.

Ale Moreno says if Earnie Stewart becomes the USMNT general manager he’ll be the key person in identifying the next head coach.

“There’s no better moment than that.”

Julian Green is talking about a goal. No, not that goal; not the one that he scored nearly four years ago for the U.S. against Belgium at the 2014 World Cup. Rather, he’s speaking about the tally he recorded two weeks ago for club side Greuther Furth on the last day of the 2. Bundesliga season. The goal was enough for Fürth to secure a 1-1 draw against FC Heidenheim, a result that allowed the Shamrocks to maintain their second division status for another season….

Julian Green speaks exclusively to ESPN FC about the 2014 World Cup, what he must do to get back into the USMNT fold and much more.

FURTH, Germany — On July 1, 2014, Julian Green had the world at his feet. Coming off the bench for the United States in the World Cup round of 16 against Belgium in extra-time, the then-19-year-old scored moments later, cutting in from the left and firing past Thibaut Courtois to cut the deficit to 2-1. However, his goal wasn’t enough to secure progress and just under four years later, the USMNT are picking up the pieces after missing out on the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

It hasn’t gone much…

Julian Green speaks exclusively to ESPN FC about the 2014 World Cup, what he must do to get back into the USMNT fold and much more.

Julian Green insists he wasn’t rushed into the United States national team setup and gives credit to then-manager Jurgen Klinsmann for giving him an opportunity at the 2014 World Cup.

Green, 22, is currently on loan from Stuttgart with Greuther Fuerth in the 2.Bundesliga after stints with Bayern Munich and Hamburg, but is he most famously remembered for being picked ahead of U.S. veteran Landon Donovan by Klinsmann for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Despite seeing limited action for the Americans…
