Sierra Leone captain Umaru Bangura missed a stoppage time penalty against Liberia.
Sierra Leone captain Umaru Bangura had his house attacked by angry fans after missing a penalty which saw his country miss out on qualification for the next stage of the 2022 World Cup.
Bangura saw his stoppage time penalty saved by 18-year-old Liberia goalkeeper Ashley Williams, which meant they lost the tie 3-2 on aggregate, having won the match 1-0.

African football official Musa Hassan Bility has been banned from the game for 10 years by FIFA’s ethics committee following an investigation into the finances of the Liberia Football Association (LFA).
FIFA said that Bility was “guilty of having misappropriated FIFA funds as well as having received benefits and found himself in situations of conflict of interest, in violation of the FIFA Code of Ethics.”
