Vietnam scored a goal in either half in their win over Malaysia to keep pace in Group A of the 2018 Suzuki Cup.

Malaysia were made to wait until late in the second half to secure their second victory in AFF Cup Group A following a spirited showing from Laos.

With three matches down and one to go in the group stage of the 2018 AFF Suzuki Cup, Malaysia are where they expected to be in Group A. They collected six points from the opening two wins over Cambodia and Laos and then lost in Vietnam, the strongest team in their half of the 10-team tournament.

Vietnam maintained their perfect start to the 2018 AFF Suzuki Cup on Friday as Park Hang-seo’s side beat Malaysia 2-0 at Hanoi’s My Dinh Stadium.
