Hamburg’s Nicolai Muller has undergone successful surgery after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament while celebrating a goal.
On Saturday, Muller fell to the ground during his “helicopter celebration” after scoring the eighth-minute winner against Augsburg.
Hamburg revealed that the 29-year-old had ruptured the ligament in his right knee, and he underwent surgery on Wednesday.
