There was plenty of fanfare as Bengaluru FC arrived in Bengaluru after winning their first Indian Super League (ISL) trophy. They beat FC Goa 1-0 in the final on Sunday, to lift their maiden ISL title, making it their sixth trophy in six years. 
Ahead of Sunday’s ISL final, Sergio Lobera (manger, FC Goa) and Carles Cuadrat (manger, Bengaluru FC) spoke to the press separately, but they might as well have released a joint statement. Both managers’ messages were remarkably similar.
“Tough game. They are a very good side. They made it really difficult for us in both games that we faced them. Tonight won’t be any different, but we have to make sure we are smarter and take something from it.”
