Gab Marcotti says Christian Pulisic was ‘absolutely tremendous’ despite Dortmund’s defeat against Bayern in Der Klassiker.
Over 200 Borussia Dortmund supporters have been banned from attending their club’s next away match at Stuttgart on Nov. 17.
The bans — initially reported by the Rheinische Post newspaper and later confirmed by a VfB Stuttgart spokesperson — come amid concerns of violence at a train station close to the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
Some 298 Dortmund supporters were taken into temporary custody prior to two sides’ previous meeting at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in April 2016 and a spokesman for Stuttgart said…

Stuttgart said the 32-year-old Gentner will undergo surgery in the coming days.
Gentner was struck in the head by Koen Casteels’ knee as the Wolfsburg goalkeeper came out to clear a high ball late in the game. Play was suspended as the unconscious Gentner received attention on the pitch before he was taken…

Mitch Langerak, 29, was key to Stuttgart’s promotion to the Bundesliga at the end of last season.
Australia international Mitch Langerak has left VfB Stuttgart and joined Levante after dropping down the pecking order at the German club following the arrival of Ron-Robert Zieler.
Langerak, 29, had been Stuttgart’s keeper as they returned to Bundesliga just one year after their shock relegation in 2016.
But with former Germany international Zieler returning to Bundesliga following a year-long stint as Kasper Schmeichel’s backup at Leicester, the former BVB shot stopper felt it was time to move…

The FC crew discuss Thomas Muller’s role at Bayern Munich and whether or not his future is away from the club.

Carlo Ancelotti explains why Thomas Muller was dropped to the bench for Bayern Munich against Werder Bremen.

Steve Nicol says there is no way the Bundesliga will scrap their VAR trail, despite early problems.

Peter Bosz explains his lack of content with Borussia Dortmund’s performance against Hertha Berlin, despite a win.
In one of the most successful German TV programs of the Nineties, randomly-paired couples had to decide between going on a date with each other or taking home their game show winnings instead. It was, rather cleverly, called Geld oder Liebe (money or love), and it spoke to the country’s deeply romantic notion that these are — or should be — mutually exclusive terms.

In professional football, it’s near bordering on impossible to persist with that dichotomy. But Borussia Dortmund…

Australia’s Jamie Maclaren believes the national side has a strong team chemistry after their recent exposure to test themselves against the best teams.

Australia’s Trent Sainsbury admits there is more pressure on Japan to win their crucial World Cup qualifier because they’re playing on home soil. Socceroos goalkeeper Mitch Langerak has been ruled out of Thursday’s World Cup qualifier against Japan and has been given leave to sort out “issues” with his German club VfB Stuttgart.
Adam Federici will join the team’s camp in Tokyo on Wednesday evening as his replacement.
Langerak, 29, has not played a single minute this season for the Bundesliga side after helping them win promotion from Germany’s second tier and is believed to be investigating his options ahead of the closure of the European…
