There was plenty of fanfare as Bengaluru FC arrived in Bengaluru after winning their first Indian Super League (ISL) trophy. They beat FC Goa 1-0 in the final on Sunday, to lift their maiden ISL title, making it their sixth trophy in six years.

India will host the U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2020, FIFA confirmed on Friday. 
“We have decided that India will host the next U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2020,” FIFA president Gianni Infantino said after the FIFA Council met in Miami.

Eight clubs, including Minerva Punjab, have withdrawn from the upcoming Super Cup set to take place in Bhubaneswar this month. While other teams remained tight-lipped, Minerva cited the “unfair treatment” meted out by the AIFF to all I-League clubs as the reason for their decision.
