ESPN FC’s Alejandro Moreno says Juventus’ defensive issues came to the forefront in a 2-2 draw against Atletico Madrid.

ESPN FC’s Alejandro Moreno says Brazil came together and proved that they were the best team at the Copa America despite Neymar’s absence.
After two glorious spells, more than 300 matches and plenty of titles, left back Filipe Luis left Atletico Madrid at the end of the last season to go home to Brazil. And, with typical modesty, he is inclined to believe that his successor will be better than him.
The club have signed his compatriot, 21-year-old Renan Lodi, and Filipe Luis has seen enough to be enchanted.
“I think he’ll be the best full-back in Atletico’s history,” Filipe Luis said. “He has all the conditions.”

The Brazil international has been linked with moves to Chelsea and Manchester United in recent seasons but stayed with Juve despite battling Kwadwo Asamoah for a starting spot in Massimiliano Allegri’s defence in the previous campaign.
It has been a different story in 2018-19 with Sandro playing in every match so far following Asamoah’s departure to Inter…

It was a frustrating day all-round for Gonzalo Higuain and his Juventus teammates.
Juventus’ 12-match winning streak came to an end when little SPAL showed enough discipline and determination to hold Juve to a 0-0 draw, effectively reopening the title race.

The Old Lady had come into the match in fine physical and mental form and were expected to grab all three points with ease. However, SPAL proved well organised at home as they sought to frustrate the opponent. While they showed little ambition going forward, they were clever in how they disrupted Juve’s game by any means…
