Sunderland’s 10-year spell in the Premier League is over following a 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth.
Eddie Howe’s side are now safe and his side can finally enjoy a stress-free remainder of the season, starting with their next fixture against Stoke City on May 6. After two wins and clean sheets in the past two fixtures, the chance to even build some momentum heading into the next campaign is possible and a great opportunity the Cherries should not throw away.

While the next four games are a chance just to enjoy the football and embrace the achievement of securing Premier League football for a…

Sunderland’s 10-year spell in the Premier League is over following a 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

Fans on the south coast can finally feel relieved as Bournemouth’s three points have pushed the side up to 10th in the division. While it is still mathematically possible for the club to be relegated, the chances of that happening are now extremely slim. The rest of the season from here on is just about enjoying the football and seeing how high the club can finish while building some momentum for the next campaign.

Chelsea re-established their seven-point lead atop the Premier League with a 3-1 victory at Bournemouth.

Chelsea re-established their seven-point lead atop the Premier League with a 3-1 victory at Bournemouth.
Despite a recent defeat to league leaders Chelsea, Bournemouth still remain in a decent run of results and a victory over Tottenham is definitely achievable. The Cherries admittedly struggle in matches away from the Vitality Stadium, but with Josh King in such impressive form, the south coast club have a good chance against any side. Manager Eddie Howe said it’s likely to be one of the toughest games of the season, but if King is firing properly, they should be aiming for three points.

It’s well…

Chelsea re-established their seven-point lead atop the Premier League with a 3-1 victory at Bournemouth.
Bournemouth were in a strong position to cause an upset against league leaders Chelsea after picking up points at Manchester United and Liverpool away from home in their last five Premier League fixtures. However, it simply wasn’t to be for Eddie Howe’s men on a sunny south coast afternoon.

Harry Arter and Jack Wilshere were simply class in the centre of midfield. They completed 90 and 68 passes respectively compared to N’Golo Kante’s 52, and saw more of the ball than the Premier League…

Josh King’s late equaliser sealed a hard-fought draw for Bournemouth at Anfield.

Josh King’s late equaliser sealed a hard-fought draw for Bournemouth at Anfield.

English Premier League: Josh King (87′) Liverpool 2-2 Bournemouth
Despite barely having a shot in the second half, the Cherries battled brilliantly as a unit throughout and they took their limited chances in pleasing style to claim a draw. They did admittedly surrender 67 percent of the ball to their opponents, but the only statistic that counts is the 2-2 score line which will please everyone at the club. Onwards and upwards for the next match against Chelsea.

Bournemouth’s 2-0 home win keeps Swansea City grounded close to the drop zone.

Bournemouth’s 2-0 home win keeps Swansea City grounded close to the drop zone.

After a poor run of form several weeks ago, Eddie Howe discusses how Bournemouth’s recent run has restored team morale.

Benik Afobe and Simon Francis were thrilled to contribute to Bournemouth’s home victory over Swansea.
Bournemouth earned a well-deserved three points in their 2-0 victory over Swansea on Saturday and have really turned a corner since their dismal run of poor form at the turn of the year. Eddie Howe’s side are a match for any team if they perform like this, but it’s just a matter of finding that consistency, which is something they struggle with.
There’s still work to do in avoiding relegation, but Bournemouth can breathe a huge sigh of relief, having stretched the gap to the drop zone even further.

Eddie Howe admits his relief now that Bournemouth’s winless streak has ended, and praises star man Josh King’s performance.

Mark Donaldson presents his fantasy starting XI as normalcy returns to the Premier League with a full slate of fixtures.
The three points claimed against West Ham will almost surely propel the Cherries to another victory against Swansea this weekend. Bournemouth demolished the Swans 3-0 last time the sides met, and with home advantage now in their favour, Eddie Howe should be confident of claiming another win.
The Cherries will rely on the in-form Josh King to fire them to victory again. He’s become revitalised playing in a more attacking role, and claims his improvement is down to his enjoyment playing under pressure….

West Brom maintained their first-half lead to hold off Bournemouth 2-1 at the Hawthorns.

English Premier League: Gareth McAuley (22′) West Brom 2-1 Bournemouth

English Premier League: Craig Dawson (10′) West Brom 1-1 Bournemouth

English Premier League: Josh King (5′) West Brom 0-1 Bournemouth
It was another defeat for Bournemouth and the south coast side have now picked up just two points since their victory over Swansea on Dec. 31. The Cherries remain a comfortable five points above the drop zone but they still need a few more wins before confirming their Premier League status for next season. However, it’s difficult to see where the next three points are going to come from as performances of late have been very poor.
