ESPN FC’s Bundesliga expert Raf Honigstein delves into how Bayern Munich’s Champions League failure has led to complacency in their domestic play.

With Tyler Adams being linked to RB Leipzig, Alejandro Moreno explains why the American international is ready to make the move from MLS.

At the very top, a Bundesliga season that started with FC Bayern Munich showing uncharacteristic weakness, and firing Carlo Ancelotti before Oktoberfest had even begun, ended very much like the one before.

Following an inauspicious start, the Reds won the title — their sixth in a row — more or less uncontested but once again came away empty handed in the Champions League and the DFB Pokal. The Meisterschaft (“championship”) parties inside the stadium and in the city centre felt forced, devoid…

Julian Weigl said that Borussia Dortmund’s 1-1 draw in Leipzig on Saturday was a big improvement over Monday’s result with the same scoreline against Augsburg.
Weigl, 22, told Sky after the match: “It was great step forward if you compare this game with our 1-1 draw against Augsburg.
“We were more agile, pressed higher. It was a very attractive match for the spectators and with a bit more luck we can take the lead here but were caught offside too often.
“We managed to come back after going behind…

However, this is where the similarities stop. While 20,000 Koln fans were drunk…
