And when Club Leon used the “stars and stripes” metaphor to announce a new striped home jersey, everything pointed to La Fiera playing off the rumor to garner attention and generate press.

Liga MX side Club Leon announced the signing of Jamaica international Giles Barnes with a twist on Tuesday.
Leon released a video of a graffiti artist painting the face of the new signing accompanied by reggae music, with fans and the media left to work it out that it was 29-year-old England-born forward Barnes.
