MEXICO — After nine games, Cruz Azul’s impressive unbeaten streak ended in the Apertura 2018, falling victim to one of the most frustrating and entertaining teams in the tournament: Necaxa.

Liga MX club Morelia has issued an apology for its women’s team’s coach Filadelfo Rangel remarks after the side’s 0-0 draw with Necaxa on Friday.
When explaining his team’s failure to finish chances, Rangel suggested that it had to do with women being more “indecisive.”

Andy Polo is moving to MLS with the Portland Timbers.
The Portland Timbers have acquired Peru international winger Andy Polo on a one-year loan deal from Morelia, the club announced on Wednesday.
The Timbers used Targeted Allocation Money, with a purchase option.
“We are excited to add a young and talented attacking player in Andy Polo,” said Timbers general manager Gavin Wilkinson.

The Portland Timbers have secured the signature of Morelia and Peru international midfielder/forward Andy Polo, MLS league sources have told ESPN FC.
