Alejandro Moreno sifts through all the big transfer news surrounding the likes of Isco, Alvaro Morata, Fernando Llorente and more.

Harry Kane’s injury couldn’t have come at a worse time for Tottenham. Alejandro Moreno questions whether Spurs can cope without their star striker. Mousa Dembele has completed his move to Chinese Super League club Guangzhou R&F, with sources telling ESPN FC that Tottenham have banked £9 milllion from the sale.
Dembele, 31, was entering the last six months of his contract so could have left for free in the summer.
He joined Spurs from Fulham in 2012 and made 250 appearances for the club in all competitions.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino named Dembele among a select group of five geniuses he has been lucky enough to work with in his career,…

Dembele’s skills as a disruptive, creative and aggressive central midfielder probably won’t be found in the same player again.

Promising young footballers are regularly compared to a current or former great and it’s usually based upon a couple of attributes: the new Thierry Henry, the new Lionel Messi, the new Ronaldo. They rarely live up to the billing, but it’s a useful shortcut for describing their style. It’s difficult, though, to imagine anyone being an accurate “new Mousa Dembele” not because the Belgian was so magnificent that no-one could possibly come close, but because Dembele is unlike anyone else before or…

Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino insists he wants to win trophies at the club after he was linked with the Real Madrid job.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino admits he is concerned by Mousa Dembele’s “very painful” ankle injury after losing another central midfielder.
Spurs were already missing Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama when they arrived to face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, and Dembele then limped off in the opening moments of the 3-2 victory.
“We don’t know [how bad it is] but we are a little bit worried,” said Pochettino. “We’ll see. I don’t want to say anything because we need to assess him tomorrow…

Alejandro Moreno and Ross Dyer make their picks for Wednesday’s slate of Champions League games, including the mouth-watering match up between Barcelona and Tottenham.
Tottenham are facing a number of injury worries ahead of their Champions League game against Barcelona with Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele and Serge Aurier all missing training on Tuesday.
Eriksen was unable to face Huddersfield on Saturday due to an abdomen problem and did not recover in time to train ahead of Wednesday’s match.
Aurier also missed the weekend’s trip to Yorkshire due to a thigh injury and, although he was spotted working by himself on Tuesday, his inability…

Watford maintain their scintillating start to the season, beating a loaded Tottenham side and maintaining their perfect record heading into the international break.

Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino admitted that his side played their defeat to Watford like a friendly match and turned into a long ball side.

Things were looking pretty rosy for Tottenham when they took the lead at Vicarage Road, with Lucas Moura forcing an own goal from Abdoulaye Doucoure early in the second half.

As they passed the hour mark, Spurs were on course for an 100 percent record after four matches, which would have equalled their best-ever start to a Premier League campaign and put them alongside Liverpool and Chelsea at the top of the table.

However, they threw it all away. As Watford upped the ante, Spurs seemed powerless…

Harry Kane scored an August goal for the first time in his career, adding to goals from Lucas Moura and Kieran Trippier in Spurs’ win over Fulham.
Mauricio Pochettino has said he is planning for the season with Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose and Mousa Dembele at the club.
The trio have been linked with moves away from Spurs this summer, but with the European transfer window closing next Friday, time is running out for them to leave before it shuts.
Pochettino, who has said before that he only wants to work with players who want to be at Tottenham, said all three will be able to fight for their places in the first team again.
“I expect all the…

Mauricio Pochettino admitted it was important for Harry Kane to finally score a goal in August.
Tottenham Hotspur maintained their winning start to the season, responding to a Fulham fightback by scoring twice in the final 16 minutes at Wembley.

Lucas Moura gave Spurs a deserved half-time advantage with a fine 20-yard, curling strike, but the North Londoners had a wobble after the break and Aleksandar Mitrovic equalised with a close-range header.

Kieran Trippier restored Tottenham’s lead with a 74th-minute free kick though, and Harry Kane then put the hosts out of sight, scoring his first…
