After such a long wait, it wouldn’t be surprising to hear that Philadelphia Union fans have forgotten how to feel when their team wins a match. Before Saturday’s 3-0 home romp over the Red Bulls, Philadelphia hadn’t won an MLS game since Aug. 27, 2016.
Whatever spoils there are from beating a regional rival at home belong almost entirely to C.J. Sapong. The striker is now tied for the league…

Florian Jungwirth has been released by Darmstadt after asking for a transfer this month.

Clearly angered, Frings reiterated previous statements that they promised to look for an alternative,…

Darmstadt will not allow holding midfielder Florian Jungwirth a move to MLS should the club not be able to get a “like-for-like alternative,” coach Torsten Frings has said.
Jungwirth, 27, is under contract at Darmstadt, the club he joined from Bochum in 2014, until the end of the ongoing season.
However, with a MLS slot opening up for him during the U.S. league’s primary transfer window, he hopes he will be allowed to leave the Bundesliga bottom club before his contract expires.
“It’s my wish to…
