AC Milan signee Lucas Paqueta was among the winners of Brazil’s prestigious Bola de Prata (Silver Ball) awards on Monday.
The 21-year-old Flamengo midfielder completed a €35 million deal to join the seven-time European champions in January and was one of a number of recipients of Brazil’s top club honours during a ceremony, being named to the team of the season alongside Palmeiras’ Dudu, who was given the Bola de Ouro (Golden Ball) for the top player of the Brazilian championship.

ESPN FC’s Paul Mariner believes the ball is in Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s court when it comes to the rumours linking him with a loan move to Milan. AC Milan’s sporting director Leonardo has confirmed an agreement with Flamengo to sign Lucas Paqueta, but said nothing can be made official until the transfer window opens on Jan. 3.
Paqueta, 21, has already undergone a medical for the Serie A side ahead of a move which will cost €35 million, according to ESPN sources.
