Amid talk that Fernando Torres and Yannick Carrasco could leave Atletico, Diego Simeone feels the CSL’s transfer window unsettles players of European clubs.
Atletico Madrid have sold Yannick Carrasco and Nicolas Gaitan to Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang for undisclosed fees, the La Liga club announced on Monday afternoon.
The moves leave Atletico with just 17 senior outfield players for the rest of the season, after Augusto Fernandez also moved to China, and Luciano Vietto was loaned to Valencia.
The 24-year-old Carrasco leaves Atletico after making 124 appearances for the club since arriving in the summer of 2015 from Monaco.

Atletico Madrid got the scoring punch it needed by adding Diego Costa.

For Atletico Madrid, this transfer window was a welcome one, given it was the first transfer window for a good while in which they were actually permitted to register new players.

It was a Halloween horror show for Atletico Madrid as they failed to beat 10-man Qarabag for the second game in a row, drawing 1-1 to leave their chances of qualifying for the Champions League knockout stages all but dead.
The performance was woeful from start to finish, with few — if any — players willing to take responsibility. They looked nervous in the opening exchanges, misplacing simple passes and that only got worse when they allowed Michel to ghost in unmarked to put the visitors ahead.

Antoine Griezmann looks to be rounding into form after a slow start and was wrongfully denied a goal vs. Athletic.
Atletico Madrid’s unbeaten start to the season continued as they secured three hard-earned points with a 2-1 victory away to Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday night.

It looked to be a familiar tale of striking woe as the visitors missed a host of golden chances before a scandalous refereeing decision saw them concede a penalty when Filipe Luis won the ball outside the box. Jan Oblak, however, ensured justice was done and it served as the springboard for victory.

Angel Correa and substitute Yannick…
