SAN JOSE, Calif. — U.S. international and Toronto FC midfielder Michael Bradley said Toronto FC is going to miss departed star Sebastian Giovinco.
Giovinco’s move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal was made official late Wednesday, ending a four-year stint with the Reds, a time that saw the Italian win the league’s MVP award in 2015 and lead the team to a domestic Treble two years later. All told, Giovinco scored 83 goals in 143 league, playoff, and cup appearances with TFC.

Sebastian Giovinco now shares the lead in goals scored via free kicks in Major League Soccer.
Sebastian Giovinco has been sold to Saudi Arabia giants Al-Hilal, Toronto FC confirmed on Wednesday.
Earlier reports that the fee for the deal is between $2 million and $3 million are accurate, a league source has confirmed to ESPN’s Jeff Carlisle.
Sources have also confirmed that a deal has been done to bring in United States international Terrence Boyd, currently playing the German second division for Darmstadt 98, as Giovinco’s replacement on the TFC roster.
