Recently retired Mexico international Rafa Marquez will become a director at Liga MX club Atlas, club president Gustavo Guzman has confirmed.
Marquez played for Mexico at Russia 2018 in his fifth World Cup, despite being on the United States Treasury Department blacklist for links to a drug cartel, and will now take up a role at his first club.

Club America forward Jeremy Menez will miss the 2018 Apertura after rupturing his left ACL and being ruled out for between six and nine months, the Liga MX club have confirmed.
Former Paris Saint-Germain player Menez suffered the injury during his side’s friendly against Pachuca last week and will undergo surgery in France “as soon as possible.”

The Seattle Sounders completed the signing of Raul Ruidiaz on Friday, after the forward finished playing at the World Cup with Peru.

Jose Saturnino Cardozo was introduced as the next Chivas manager on Tuesday.

New Chivas coach Jose Saturnino Cardozo was presented on Tuesday, ending a tumultuous week for Mexico’s most popular team in which their manager, sporting director and star player all exited.

“Whoever says he’s not excited by coaching Chivas is telling a lie,” said Cardozo, the former Paraguay international who scored more than 250 goals in Liga MX with Toluca. “I’m happy to be here, to have the possibility to coach a big club. Chivas named Jose Saturnino Cardozo as its new coach on Tuesday to replace to Matias Almeyda.
Almeyda told ESPN Mexico on May 31 he was stepping down from his post at the Liga MX club and made the move official on Monday. He leaves after winning five titles in almost three years at the helm.
